What is the laser that you are using at La belle
and how does it work?
The La belle Permanent Hair Reduction treatment
is the ideal way to get rid of unwanted hair .The
technology used is ND YAG laser that is
US FDA approved. Melanin, the pigment
that gives color to hair absorbs the laser beam.
As the beam is absorbed by the hair follicle,
heat is generated and destroys the hair follicle
thus reducing the ability of hair follicles to
produce new hair. Performed under the supervision
of a dermatologist, it offers the desired results
without affecting the surrounding skin.
How many sessions are required and what
is the duration between each sitting?
It depends on the individual’s response
where usually 5-8 sittings are required, and between
each session a gap of 4-8 weeks is required.
How long does a session last?
The session depends on the area of the treatment
e.g.:- for upper lip it requires about 10 - 15
min and for leg or hand it requires about 3 hours.
Maximum how many sittings are required?
Usually 8 - 10 sessions are required and individual
variation is the same.
Will there be any scarring or pigmentation after
Laser treatment?
Not all the clients will have pigmentation. Only
those clients who have very sensitive skin and
dark coloured skins might get pigmentation and
as all these are superficial issues our dermatologist
can treat them.
What if we have an occasion / function
before the next session, can we remove the hair?
Yes, hair can be removed temporarily by razor
or hair removal cream but not through plucking
or threading.
How different is La belle laser from Electrolysis?
Laser destroys the melanin of the hair follicle
whereas in electrolysis needle is used for plucking
the hair. Hence, Electrolysis is more painful
when compared to laser hair removal.

The chances of getting back unwanted hair are
possible if you have PCOD problem and if it
is not corrected.

During menopause when the hormonal imbalance

Can we take this treatment in pregnancy?
Laser is not recommended during pregnancy but
can be continued during lactation.
I have hormonal imbalance and I am on HRT. Can
1 take this treatment?
If you have hormonal imbalance and have started
HRT you can always start the treatment but the
no. of sittings required in your case will be
more.
Is this procedure painful?
Waxing and threading is very painful when you
get it done at a beauty parlour but La belle ND
YAG laser treatment is not that painful. It is
very mild. (Rubber band hit sensation).
What precaution should be taken before and after
treatment?
Sun exposure should be avoided before & after
treatment. Threading / waxing should not be done
on treatment area. If required a hair removal
cream may be used. |
